The Retreat

A seven day rejuvenating retreat nestled under the southern arc of the sunlight reaching across the bay of San Agustinillo ,East to West ,all day long on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca in Mexico with spectacular panoramic coastal views ,the sounds of the ocean and the surrounding wildlife

This retreat is a moment in time to delve in to self, to explore the magic of the incredible location whilst opening our hearts and cleansing and refreshing our minds.

A retreat offers the space to restore, relax and take a pause, to deepen and refresh our practice and make new connections to yourself, to others and to nature, its a moment to breathe and settle back and recalibrate.

We will be blessed by Spring Equinox on the 20th March 2024.The moment the sun crosses the celestial equator and begins to move north bringing back the light and marking the beginning of Spring .A Sacred day when day and night are in perfect balance ,a celebration of growth and renewal ,rebirth and the magic of nature .As the sun enters Aries we see the return of the light and celebrate the cosmic pulse that brings victory over the darkness .

We will connect to the rituals and the altar of our lives, the medicines of nature and the five Great teachers, the elements, to honour life and all the beauty that is held there .

Travel arrangements will be shared amongst the group so that participants can connect and take an inbound flight from Mexico City to Huatulco and from there we can arrange a shuttle bus or taxis to the venue

The Venue

Our peaceful venue is a unique gem that rests on the hillside where the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains meet the Pacific ocean. Just 300m away lies the small traditional fishing village of San Augustinillo with its golden sands beach it is blessed by turquoise and emerald waters .

The spectacular panoramic views of the sea and sky are teeming with wildlife ,should you wish to explore we can arrange boat tours to discover virgin beaches ,turtles and dolphins and with a bit of luck whales can be spotted .In the close by village of Mazunte there is a Turtle museum displaying all the Turtles and native fauna of the region .The local adventure Eco park Hagia Sofia offers an exotic flower trail with more than 100,000 plants of 300 varieties ,including 60 exotic flower species .as well as 300 varieties of butterflies and 60 species of birds .You can try 80 varieties of exotic fruits or take a trip to the Magdelena river and La Campana waterfall .

La Ventanilla is a beautiful, large lagoon just a few minutes away from Mazunte. It is full of crocodiles and sweet water turtles, and you can see a big variety of different birds, too!

In the heart of the lagoon is an island. You can literally walk along with the crocodiles, and you will find a huge amount of iguanas (even really big ones), too.

Christa our host speaks wonderful English and hails from Germany ,she has lived in Mexico for many years and has a fantastic fund of local knowledge should you wish to explore the mountains or the local beaches and villages .

Christa designed and built our venue eight years ago developing the property in harmony with its spectacular natural setting. Her years of experience creating and hosting retreats will guarantee our retreat runs smoothly and enjoyably

Accomodation

The 10 peaceful and spacious bungalows and rooms, all have fabulous views from the terrace that will amaze you as soon as you open the door, built to conserve the eco system of the landscape the venue blends in to mountain side, each bungalow has a high Palapa ceiling of thatched palm leaves, keeping rooms fresh and sleep refreshing in the comfortable beds. The accommodation is ensuite ,with a safe for valuables and a fan and a mosquito net, they are suitable for singles, twins, doubles and triples.

All The rooms are surrounded by the succulent and abundant forest, its a peaceful and private venue ideal to just rest in nature and listen to birdsong or relax by the pool.

The Yoga

We will spend the days exploring mediation, pranayama, asana yoga philosophy and non dual tantra, there will be three sessions of yoga a day, you are asked to attend all of the yoga sessions. The yoga is suitable for all levels, we come as we are and we do what we can

Morning session - Meditation, pranayama, with a little break before Yoga Asana,
Evening session -Yin Yoga, Mantra, journalling, sharing, Satsang, evening pranayama and meditation, Nidra

We have a beautiful shaded wooden outdoor yoga space with ocean views , no need to carry your mats and equipment as the yoga shall is fully equipped.

The Altar

We will connect to the history, origins, mythology and details of ceremony building an altar to lay our collective prayers to support our growth, cleanse and empower our vision and purpose and align with the teachings of the medicine wheel for the wellbeing of humanity and our evolution here on earth.

What's Included

7 nights of accommodation in ensuite, rooms
Two or three delicious Mexican meals a day, breakfast ,lunch and diner ..or two meals with the option of a coffee break .

What's Not Included

Flights to Mexico and inbound flight to Huatulco
Transfers to the venue (approx 1 hour by mini bus, or taxis gathering at Huatulco airport,.. we can arrange that for you depending on your arrival and departure times.
